Hello! How can we help?

The clone leads feature enables you to easily duplicate any lead and attach it to a different brief while keeping all the attachments, emails, and the lead description.

A lead represents the evaluation of an asset in the context of a specific brief.

Let's use as a simple example the case where briefs are therapeutic areas of focus for the company. A lead could be evaluated in parallel for different briefs, potentially with different results, as the chances of success of an asset could be estimated higher for one disease than for another. It is common for early-stage projects to be considered from different angles.

The clone feature simplifies this process as you can easily copy complete leads and all the related information. Once the duplicate is created, you're ready to start a new evaluation process in another brief.

How does it work?

You can decide to clone leads to a different brief. If so, you will be asked to:

  • Select the destination brief. You will only see the briefs to which you have access excluding the original brief.
  • Decide to keep or update the lead name.
  • Keep or edit the tags associated with the lead. This step enables you to classify the lead differently in the new brief segmentation or tagging guidelines.
  • Select to copy or not the files (defaults to keep).
  • Select to copy or not the emails (defaults to keep).
  • Select to copy or not the publications (defaults to keep).

To make sure the cloning process is streamlined, you will at least need to select the destination brief, which is the only mandatory field. But in most cases, you will want to duplicate as much information as possible.

The newly created lead will start the evaluation process from the first stage of the workflow. The process will not copy the evaluation elements such as: comments, the reason for decline or on hold, the next steps.

You will be the new lead owner as you performed the cloning action.

Detailed description

Technical considerations

The cloning process is an asynchronous task as it can take time to perform (up to several minutes if a very high number and volume of documents and emails need to be copied in the process).

  • You won't have to wait for the process to proceed with his tasks. A notification will inform you when the process starts and when it finishes.
  • As the cloning process can be heavy, the cloning of leads will be performed one by one.
